For years, if you lived in Morganton and someone asked what was happening downtown on a Friday, the honest answer was usually "depends on the week." This July, the honest answer is "something, every week, until the end of the month." The Courthouse Square has a band on it every Friday except the 4th, and the three-block stretch between Queen and Union is in the middle of a restaurant turnover that will look different by Labor Day.
